Question by sattarsoul: Can anyone point me to biographies of British missionaries who visited British India?

I'm interested in the missionaries who visited British India (especially the Sindh region) towards the end of the 19th century-Early 20th Century. And those who met the then collector Colonel Rathborne. Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated.

Answer by CanProf
That is very specific. You might start with one of these Thomas Patrick Hughes, Missionary to British India: The Class
Ceiling By Elizabeth Hughes Clark or The Attitudes of British Protestant Missionaries towards Nationalism in India: With Special Reference to Madras Presidency, 1919-1927 Author: Elizabeth Susan Alexander or
Social protest in India : British Protestant missionaries and social reforms, 1850-1900
by Geoffrey A Oddie and then use their bibliographies to find what you need. Good luck.
