Lessons From Nature, (3)

My poetry is based on my belief that God created and sustains this world. I observe and read about nature, and from my insights and reading I write poetry with lessons for life. I write from a Christian perspective.

This is the third of a series of three books on Inspiring Poems On Nature. I love to write about what I observe in nature. A sister-in-law in Pennsylvania needed a poem to use while she was matron in Eastern Star. Just that day I had thought about how a stone thrown into a mirror-like body of water produced ripples that spread from the center outward. I sat down at my desk and wrote the words, ‘Ripples On the Water.’

Toss a tiny pebble into a placid lake,
see the perfect circles that the ripples make.
Ripples are created where good deeds are found,
starting with one person, spreading all around.

Why not be resourceful? Help someone today.
Start the simple process; do it every day.
Bless another person they’ll reciprocate
like ripples in the water that stretch across the lake.
